Grandstreet offers both need- and merit- based scholarships to support students. Need-based scholarship require an application, a brief statement from the student (for students under 8 a picture is fine), and a written recommendation from a teacher. Merit-based scholarships are awarded based on adjudicated auditions in the spring and are awarded at the Theatre School Celebration each May.

Need Based Scholarships

Students and families interested in need-based scholarships should complete the linked application. The application requires the following:

  1. Contact and student information
  2. A brief statement of financial need
  3. A brief statement from the student about why they are interested in attending Grandstreet Theatre School. For students under 8 years old, please have them draw a picture of themselves instead.
  4. A written recommendation from a teacher. The recommendation may either be attached to the application, or the teacher can reach out directly to Marianne Adams at [email protected] with their written recommendation.

In order to be considered for theatre school classes, please be aware of the following deadlines to submit your application.

  • Session 1 and Full Year Classes: Applications are due September 1, 2023
  • Sessions 2 & 3: Applications are due January 15, 2024
  • Summer Theatre School and Summer Mini Camps: Applications are due April 1, 2024
